SIXTH GENERATIONZADOCK HAWKINS Book Information935. Andrew Johnson6 FINNEY
(Ezra E.5 FINNEY, Denica "Denicy"4 HAWKINS, Zadock3 HAWKINS, Zadock2 HAWKINS, Zadock1 HAWKINS) was born on 4 Nov 1864 in Argos, Marshall Co., Indiana, USA. Abraham Lincoln
Finney and Andrew Johnson Finney were twins. He appeared on the 1880 U.S. Census
with his brothers and their half-sister, Mary E. Apple (Etta), living with their
mother Sarah E. Frazier in Windsor Twp., Cowley Co., Kansas. He died on 23 Jun
1930 in Burden, Cowley Co., Kansas, USA. The obituary of his father Ezra places
Andrew in "Mexico" in 1914. It was originally thought that this referred
to the town of Mexico, Miami Co., Indiana, which is near where his father lived.
However, it has been learned that Andrew's brother Charles was in the oil business
and traveled extensively to many locations in North and South America. Andrew
could well have been in the same business. So it is likely this refers to the
country of Mexico.
He was married
to unknown about 1886. In the 1900 Census Andrew Finney and his wife Ada had
been married only one year and Ada was listed as the mother of only one child.
Yet Andrew had two children in that census, a 12-year-old son and a five-month-old
daughter, suggesting that Ada in that census was not the mother of his 12-year-old
son. Andrew Johnson FINNEY and unknown had the following
children:
He was married to Ada F. about 1899 in Kansas, USA, most likely.
They appeared on the 1900 U.S. Census in Windsor Twp., Cowley Co., Kansas. In
the 1920 U.S. Census they were living in Winfield City, Cowley Co., Kansas.
Ada F. was born in Feb 1878 in Kansas, USA. Andrew Johnson FINNEY
and Ada F. had the following children:
